Marcus Armstrong is a New Zealander professional racing driver who came into the spotlight after winning the Italian F4 Championship in 2017. He had also had a stellar run in the Castrol Toyota Racing Series, the premier open-wheel motorsport competition in New Zealand, for 3 successive years, finishing 4th in 2017, 3rd in 2018, and 2nd in 2019. He stood 2nd in the ADAC Formula 4 Championship in 2017 and cemented his position as one of the most promising young stars in the world of motorsport racing when he finished as runner-up in the 2019 FIA Formula 3 Championship. In 2020, he was contracted by the ART Grand Prix racing team to participate in the FIA Formula 2 Championship.

- Marcus began his racing journey with karting in 2010 and won several major titles such as the 2011 Kartsport NZ National Sprint Championship – Cadet class, the 2012 Kartsport NZ Schools Championship – 100cc Junior Restricted, the 2013 Kartsport NZ Schools Championship – Formula Junior, and the 2013 Kartsport NZ South Island Sprint Championship – 100cc Junior Yamaha.
- He also triumphed at the 2013 Kartsport NZ National Sprint Championship – 100cc Junior Yamaha class, the 2013 Rotax Max Challenge NZ – Arai Helmets Junior class and the 2014 Kartsport NZ National Sprint Championship – Junior Rotax class.
