Jackson Irvine is an Australian professional soccer player who has played as a midfielder for several clubs in Australia, Scotland, and England. He won the Scottish League Cup in the 2015–16 season with Ross County and was named English club Burton Albion‘s ‘Player of the Year’ for the 2016–17 season. While he was playing for and captaining Scottish club Celtic FC, at the youth level, he represented Scotland at the Under-19 tier in 3 matches, after which he switched to representing Australia for whom he has played at the Under-20, Under-23, and the senior level. Jackson has gone on to represent Australia at the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup and the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Jackson Irvine Facts
- When Jackson was 10 years old, he became a good friend of fellow future Australian professional soccer player Curtis Good. The two used to live within a mile of each other and both went on to represent clubs in Australia, Scotland, and England.
- From 2011 to 2012, he was a part of Scotland’s Under-19 team for whom he was eligible because his father was born in the Scottish city of Aberdeen.
- He captained Celtic FC’s Under-19 team that won the Scottish Youth Cup and the Under-19 League in the 2011-12 season. He also won the Scottish Youth Cup with Celtic in 2010–11 and 2012–13.
